Join us for the Aging Well Conference at Appalachian State University, focusing on healthy aging and geriatric care for healthcare professionals in rural Western North Carolina. Our small-group program is offered by more than Ys across the country.
Healthy aging is not just for older adults. At the Y, we're committed to helping older adults stay physically and mentally healthy, whether it's providing opportunities to make new friends or developing specialized fitness programs to improve balance or flexibility.
The Aging Well support program is a collaboration between Appalachian State University’s Appalachian Institute for Health and Wellness (AppWell) and the High Country Area Agency on Aging, alongside numerous other community partners to support healthy aging for adults throughout the High Country.
